State-of-the-Art Eye Exams

At Wineinger Vision Associates, you will receive a comprehensive eye exam annually. Our exams are comprehensive and employ computerized state-of-the-art eye equipment. Your eye exam will include:

• A peripheral vision screening
• Refraction (which helps us to create your eyeglasses prescription)
• Measuring for Contact Lenses (if necessary)
• Glaucoma Testing
• Complete Biomicroscopic Exam of the external and internal portions of the eye to check for a variety of ocular conditions such as dry eyes, contact lens complications, and cataracts
• Dilation (when necessary) to check for retinal disease such as glaucoma, retinal detachments, cancer, and complications from systemic disease such as diabetes, hypertension, and Plaquenil therapy
• We also use other specialty testing equipment to treat and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma and corneal disease.

Digital Retinal Photography, is an optional test, which allows our patients to see what their doctor sees in the back of their eyes. Your doctor will then review these photos with you.
